Does consulting a lawyer cost anything? Sending an initial consultation message is free. If you want the lawyer to continue the work, the lawyer will quote a price in the chat first.
How do I pay the lawyer? Transfer directly to the lawyer's account. Lawslane does not hold your money. See Paying for lawyer services.
Can Lawslane AI replace a lawyer? No. Lawslane AI helps you understand your situation and the law at a basic level, but it is not legal advice.
How do I know a lawyer is really licensed? Use the Verify Lawyer page. See Find and verify lawyers.
Lawyers
Does Lawslane take a fee from my service charges? No. Clients transfer directly to your account. Lawslane's revenue comes from optional membership plans.
How do I withdraw money? You don't need to, because the money goes into your account from the start. See Receiving payment from clients.
Cap & Deal
Does the other party need to sign up? No. They open the share link, enter the PIN, and sign with OTP.
Are contracts signed in Cap & Deal actually valid? Cap & Deal records signatures together with OTP verification, IP address, device, and a content fingerprint to use as evidence. However, the legal effect depends on the contract content and the facts of each case. For important work, have a lawyer review the contract first.
